Beyond Breed Restrictions

Just because you CAN put it on a leash doesn't mean you Should!

I have the honor of working with numerous Super Stars in apartment Maintenance.  They certainly had technical skills, but what made them successful were these 7 Habits I’ve observed consistently in the best of the best Maintenance Supervisors:

We took over an apartment community that was in bankruptcy and had to restrict the residents from having goats.  Not to worry…They didn’t plan to keep them around long…

The tough thing is that no matter how many restrictions you write, there will be a breed you just didn’t think of.  For example, one of our communities recently accepted a fox. YES, A REAL, LIVE FOX.   You can imagine how comfortable their neighbors are with that. 

Needless to say, we are increasing our prohibited pet list daily.  Currently, we are up to teacup pigs, chinchillas, Lizards, iguanas, Gila monsters, ferrets, snakes, alligators, crocodiles, foxes, chickens, goats, horses, farm animals of any sort…Anyone have any other animals to add to the list?
